On Thursday, July 31, Dekmantel Festival's vital Thursday program lands back at its familiar base: across the banks of the Amsterdam river Het IJ. This year’s events commence at the Muziekgebouw concert hall, where British electronic pioneers Leftfield are joined on the bill by the equally influential and idiosyncratic dub duo The Orb. Next door, at Bimhuis, expect cutting-edge performances by acclaimed British artist James Holden and Polish multi-instrumentalist Wacław Zimpel, Herbert & Momoko, Young Marco & John Moods, and Polygonia. Just one ferry ride away, Parallel will host exclusive club shows by Danish avant-pop star Erika de Casier and Irish-Chilean experimentalist Sega Bodega, amongst others. Finally, Shelter is where we round off the Thursday program with a new live show by Lenxi, legend in the making Skee Mask, and much more.
