Sunju Hargun

Born in Bangkok with Indian and Japanese roots, Sunju Hargun played an essential role in the development of his hometown’s underground scene. While this scene grew in the past two decades, across borders and onto the international circuit, so did the local (now global) hero himself. A skilled DJ and producer, his mystical sound is defined by a knack for dark and minimal melodies—not the cold kind of timbres you’d expect from these terms, but the warm, percussive, psychedelic and often somewhat puzzling ones. Hargun is someone who loves to cross cultures, boundaries, time and space, resulting in cross-pollinations you won’t hear anywhere else.
