Darwin & DJ Storm

Otherwise known as the First Lady of Drum & Bass, DJ Storm is a Metalheadz mainstay, representing the iconic British label, synonymous with the dnb sound around the world. Her expertise in the genre stretches back to the early 1990s when she first became intoxicated with London's explosive rave culture. Also a figurehead in a scene still largely dominated by men, there's no one better primed as a b2b partner than Darwin, the Canadian-born, Berlin-based artist, who finds herself in low-end frequencies. Running the REEF parties at Berghain, Darwin has nurtured a wealth of emerging talents on her label SPE:C, traversing UK styles including dubstep, garage, and breakbeat. For their intergenerational showcase (a common theme for Dekmantel 2024!) Storm and Darwin are sure to meet where plummeting resonances collide, playing out plenty of sound system-shaking, wub-laden belters.
