If our past two editions have proven anything, it’s that Avalon Emerson and Dekmantel are a match made in festival heaven. From her euphoric debuts at the Greenhouse and Radar to last year’s finale at Het HEM, each set told its own creative narrative—synthesising strobe-lit techno with indie sleaze, big breaks with sensitive dreampop (including edits from her side project, The Charm), and thumping rave with brainy house. These diverse sounds can only co-exist and work in tandem when the person at the controls is Avalon, who possesses the mastery and musical knowledge of multiple DJs combined.
